DiFlumeri is the Director of Operations of the Newark Ironbound Express, a first-year United Soccer League PDL franchise that finished 12-3-6 after reaching the post-season Round of 16. She is also Operations Manager for the New Jersey Ironmen of the Major Indoor Soccer League. She has also previously worked as the Team Operations Manager for the New York Power of the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA). She created and managed the annual team budget, reconciled all expenses, assisted in the review of salary cap provisions, coordinated team and staff travel itineraries, and she worked with the general manager and coaching staff on team policies.
Her duties with the New York Power capitalized on her prior experience with Event Transportation Associates, Inc., in California. She developed and implemented the operations plan for the 2000 Democratic National Convention. That also included the transportation of over 10,000 delegates and media to and from hotels within the greater Los Angeles area and the Staples Center. She was also responsible for the interviewing, hiring, and scheduling of a staff of 200 people.
DiFlumeri also served as the Venue Manager at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, for the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup. She was responsible for the implementation of stadium entertainment and game operations for the first round games and the finals. Attendance soared to over 90,000 spectators. Prior to the games, she served as the Operations Manager for the 1999 Women's World Cup Organizing Committee, performing duties pertaining to grassroots marketing and events. During the Final Draw and World Stars game in San Francisco, DiFlumeri was the liason between the U.S. Women's National Team, World Team, and the Organizing Committee.
