Michigan's All Star Grille quintet sets world record

ROCKFORD, IL --- PWBA player, Lisa Bishop (Belleville) and four of her Michigan teammates, Carmen Allen (Highland Park), Cyndi Black (Taylor), Renee Palmer (Bay City) and Julie Wright (Livonia) broke a team world record with a score of 3600 for a five-player women's bowling team at Cloverlanes in Livonia, Michigan in the All-Star Bowlerettes League on November 20, 2000. The five-player team known as the "All Star Grille" team surpassed the old record of 3557 set by the Turbo 2-N-1 Grips team who are members of the same league on April 10, 2000. Ironically, the Turbo 2-N-1 Grips team set the record against the "All Star Grille" team. The "All-Star" team posted a low three-game series of 660 shot by Palmer and a high series of 807 shot by Wright. Wright shot a 290 her last game to post her first 800 series of her career. Bishop posted a pin count of 757 while shooting her fourth 300 in the middle of rolling 20 strikes in a row. Allen had the third high series with a 708 and Black with a 668.
