Congratulations to Texas' Conradt

Kansas State posted a 72-63 upset win over the University of Texas women's basketball team at Bramlage Coliseum on Wednesday night. The game was the 1000th career game coached by Texas' 25th-year head coach Jody Conradt who became the first women's coach to walk the sidelines in 1,000 games. Only 20 men's basketball coaches have reached that plateau and only three are currently active (Lefty Driesell of Georgia State, Lou Henson of New Mexico State and Jim Phelan of Mount St. Mary's). Conradt, who began coaching 32 years ago in 1969, has won a record 760 games, an NCAA national title, has been inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame and has no plans to retire.
"I'm having a really good time," stated Conradt. "I'm still very passaionate about what I do."
